Valve Lapping

Mek, it may not be the approved method but I always chucked up the suction cup, removed the opposite cup and shaped the stick for the chuck. Got into that habit due to the long process of seating hard faced valves and seats and ended up using that method for all. Make sure to not get compound on valve top or cup, a bit of spit and every couple of seconds do a quick lift. Worked very well for me.
