Fuel pump versus gravity feed

Postby 38racing » Thu Jun 13, 2024 11:34 am

I'm doing an engine swap for a friend . Briggs 15.5 28 coming off . 17 31 going on but has no pump. Needs pump because tank under seat. Both have walbro carbs so I'm thinking that I should swap carbs too. I'm also planning on using the dipstick tube for the pulse as that's how deere did it on my SILs.

Yes you need to change out carbs or at least the needle and seat as the fuel pump over pressurize the line and cause the float needle to leak while running.
