Well I just redid correctly. 3.0 on positive, 2.9 on single negative. Consistent with the dual charger. Charging voltage over 13.

Here is link to meters I am planning on using.

You say: Those clamp meters are iffy at the low end.

Amen to that especially when trying to read low amps accurately especially 1 to 5 amps for example. I open and close the jaws few times while taking a low reading and see if the reading stays close to the same. If it don't I clean the jaws. Sometimes allowing the jaws to lightly snap shut from about 1/2 inch gapped instead of just lightly/gently closing will get a good reading more often. Also not using the jaws and letting them rust in storage will cause erratic readings. The (layered) laminated steel jaws will rust quite readily during storage, especially where they mate together.

For a one to approximately 2 amp reading I sometimes loop the wire being read around a jaw couple times and divide the reading by however many loops around the jaw. (two SIDE BY SIDE) wraps will get twice the amps reading for example

Your 100 amp link is priced reasonable.`If the digital meter quits a guy could use a voltmeter across the link and do a convert to amps with little bit of experimenting using the shunt..

That is why I going to build tester with both drain and charge setups in one unit. Beside I can use it on my solar panel system too by the other two meter for that setup.

That is a good point about using a DMM as a charge/discharge indicator vs a analog meter.

The DMM (digital) will show both a positive OR negative reading without have to reverse the meter leads so as to indicate a charge/discharge amps or voltage.
For low amps charge/discharge a old style automotive 20-0-20 analog ammeter is handy sometimes. The 30-0-30 usually won't indicate a low 2 amp reading very good on the scale.

The clamp on ammeters for DC are more user friendly (faster to get a immediate reading) when they indicate correctly because the wires do not have to be cut/spliced and less likely to accidently let the smoke out somewhere. :o
