Key will not stay put

I will call him Monday, the last one he was out of seals so I just bought it locally to get the unit back to owner. This one comes from 185 miles away...yes I typed 185 miles! Will get it fixed one way or the other, just seems to me that someone should know how to make this a non-issue.
