old Makita generator resurection ?

Postby waterworks » Fri Mar 14, 2014 3:16 pm

I have acquired an old model G2700k Makita generator, it has no output, it has an AVR alternator, i'm getting 1 volt at the brushes, and they're very worn down, but there is continuity to the slip rings, I will try to source new brushes but 1 volt does not sound good to me, what should I test next ?

I am NOT a generator man...and couldn't find a G2700K. But have you tried to field flash the thing?
This is a google search...take your pick. :D
