Main muffler bolt info needed

Postby KE4AVB » Fri Apr 18, 2014 12:23 pm

I have a 113432-0035-E1 that needing both main muffler bolts. The problem is that Item 613B PN 691108 is the wrong bolt. If anyone has the 694460 bolt on hand I appreciate if they can can they the physical size of it. It picture as a shouldered bolt but it is not right place according to the IPL. I have been waiting on Briggs to respond for a week now with correct number.

BTW the bolts didn't come with the muffler either. I having order separately which is why I need the correct part number. Now the 691108 are needed as they do goes on the muffler otherwise and are not shown in the IPL.

I do have a temp fix on board for the customer but I don't know if it will last as I using a regular 1/4 bolt with 5/16 brass sleeve.

I'll order in a couple of those bolts, can always sell 'em on ebay later. won't have 'em until Tuesday evening though.

Well it's prolly the 694460 since the one you got ain't workin. You should know by now that the IPLs don't always show the part in the right place , or orientation, and especially not the right scale!

Brian,
That part you imaged is what I got when ordered for those 4-1/2 long shoulder bolts. I got I a good  out of them wanting mount the muffler with those.

I had already tried finding an image all I got a just the Briggs logo at most suppliers. I probably will need to just the other bolt and as you said I can sell it later. I just hate guessing about parts as can get expensive sometimes.

I ask you professional techs- Is that typical customer (NO) service from Briggs?

Normally they respond fairly quickly but it is first requested through the Power Portal plus it is the start of the service year in the USA. I just going send a second request just in case I did something wrong when I filed the request.

Hmm. interesting.. Ive never used that feature - I just drop a note to my account rep at the distributor, and they usually have an answer within hours. But then maybe I'm lucky that way and happen to have account reps that just so happen to be among the best of the best. :)
