First I want to say hi and I am glad I found you all. I was really shocked when I found that the old site was gone. Some of you have helped me a lot in the past and again I have a problem with something I have no clue about.
OK so here goes. This weekend I was given a Toro tc 3100 Pro. To my eye it had never been used. The head had no scratches on it ect. My brother got it from his wifes grandfather and he said he never used it.
I put gas in it and it started up and ran good no problem other than a little hesitation at the top end. I used it for about 1 hr. The performance started going down hill. I put it up for the day. Next day All it would do is run and die if you tried to give it gas.
I took the carb apart and it looked new. no varnesh, dirt or sign of wear. I sprayed carb cleaner in all the ports that I could see and checked to see if the metering needle was stuck. It is not. I put it back together and it will not prime. I acts like there is a blockage in the carb. Primer /fuel dilvery system seems to work fine. I can easly push the primer bulb with the gas line disconnected from the carb and get gas movement with no problem.
I have looked and found no kind of ball check valves. So any ideas of what to look for before I spend any money on it?
cant buy a new carb they dont make them. From the little I found it was only made from 88 to 92 and only for this weed wacker. It is a nikki 6050 style.
If any of you can help I thank you in advanced.
Bless
