Does anybody know if there's alternative for the AYP 188799 brass oil drain valve that was used on red GT5000 Craftman 917.276310? Its discontinued now.

You can use the 532162295 Elbow and the 532428287 oil drain valve. Alternatively you can pickup 3/8 - 18 NPT thread street elbow at your local plumbing store and get an aftermarket version of the 532428287. Another thing you could do is just use the drain valve and come out to the side, it will a little time as you need to install and remove the drain tube during each oil change on either of the two last options. Another thought that local plumbing store may even a valve with a built-in shutoff valve.

Briggs 5401K quick drain Kit - or as KE mentions 428287 (or Stens equivalent, Oregon, etc.) - Or, check out perr.com and look for his Drainzit valves (Im not sure if Bruce (bper here) is still selling them though.

I found the Rotary 6783 but doesnt say the thread size and pitch. Just says replaces Briggs 186071GS or Kohler 25-755-14.

I dont order from Sunbelt. I have one other place to try for that brass oil drain valve. Just hit me while ago that this Ariens Seirra 1997 w/16hp vanguard vtwin has one on it as well.

EDIT: Its a Briggs 492031 the brass one thats the vanguard.
