Thanks for your opinion

1) Overheating is one of the most common - heating/cooling and the bolts work loose, gasket blows out
2) Blown head gasket (on OHV engines) overpressurizing crank case
3) Loose engine mounting bolts (vibration)
4) Under torqued bolts , and overtorqued bolts (Crushing gasket)
5) Gas in oil , and lack of maintenance (old oil retains more engine heat - see overheating above) while Gas in oil degrades and rots the gasket material
We see this frequently in 8-12 HP L-Head Briggs Verticals, and several OHV Inteks that had already had overheating issues, and lately, we seem to have a spurt of Kawasaki engines mounted on John Deere tractors with their crankcase bolts coming loose... More common on Vertical shaft engines than horizontal.
