http://www.perr.com/phpBB3/viewforum.php?f=15In fact, it would prolly be a good idea for the admin. to create a " Links" section or sticky, much like Dr. Bruce, no?
Its in the downloads section down below - Didn't add the old forum links for 2 reasons - Bruce's (and forum members') copyrights, and did not link to the old forum as it was indicated, last I knew of, that it will eventually be removed , resulting in broken links.
Now, if Bruce was to come by and offer up a bunch of links or copies of his forum content (or members that made forum posts there can copy their posts to here) or anyone that feels a manual or whatever should be downloadable, feel free to make a post of your content, send a message in to a moderator, KE4, or me to have links or manuals added to the downloadable content forum.
Worst case, manuals (that are not linkable) may be added to the downloads section of my website by FTP (Some are simply too big of a file size to be uploaded to the forum.)
Ideally though, since most manufacturer manuals available for download can be had at the manufacturer website (and of course they are usually the most up to date ones) links would just point to the manufacturer's website where such can be downloaded from.. and those , of course, fit in nicely in the downloads section.
Reason is moderator/admin post-able only (read only for most everyone else) is again due to copyright issues. I'm not interested in getting a DMCA takedown notice from some lawyer claiming copyright infringement. ( I used to work for a web hosting company, shutting down client websites due to DMCA was a fairly common activity.. if we didn't, the network carriers or data center could shut down the entire hosting company, including the thousands of websites we hosted.)
