Honda F200 Tiller blows Oil. no power

Postby Pete in Milton » Sun May 25, 2014 10:10 pm

I have a Honda F200 ser#2063364 with a Honda G100 vertical shaft motor ser# 1441161. the engine will start and run but blows oil, when under load (tilling) it bogs down and dies. I suspect that the blowing oil may be seized oil ring or being "dusted", and the power issue directly related to oil fouling and needing carb cleaning. before I strip it down I need to find a source for gaskets, The dealer says the head gasket is available but the oil pan gasket has been on back order for 2 months but should be in by the end of May.
I'd like to get an overhaul kit but it's no longer available , also I'd like a carb kit. I could tap the gaskets out as' I've done many times before but, I'd rather not.
Any source for after market parts that may be more readily available???? Does any body have any other thoughts about the blowing oil, other that already mentioned?
Thanks
Best Regards
Pete

Sound like you pretty will got it covered. Most Honda carburetors are like Kawasaki were you order individual parts.

As for the oil blowing and lack of power I be lead to bad ring set and worn cylinder which dusting can cause easily.

Good luck with tear down and rebuild. Please let us know the outcome too.

Of the parts I looked for via Google there is none except for some minor gaskets and few carburetors. Honda appears to have keep close reins on the market.
