only number I find is yw2500 sold in canadian tire here in canada as 060-2326-0 but now looking at a downloaded operator manual I see model # of N1E—WLBC260A. And when I google that I get to a china company selling that model in a different colour (yellow). MtD guy said it was from Mexico. Also found someone asking about that model in 2010. MTD guy said only out for 2 years.

I also found it in a red dress too. The MTD group probably just had it redress into thier colors a couple years ago. It appears to have the WL1E33F engine as the powerplant. They all looked like the Weedeater Featherlites that I have here in the scrap pile, very cheap curve shaft models.I wouldn't be surprised that the cheap Troy-bilt TB22 EC model is the same machine.

Went to cub cadet dealer . has new trimmer with carb that looks like the huayi on my yw. asked for part number for the carb. she says 753-06190. as per mtd techs. googles as walbro. went to ctc that sold yw as a product code 2326. now sell as product code 2355. on sale at 99. none out of box but picture on box shows walbro carb. i can see the two mixture screws. and for interest the cc dealer quoted me 70 bucks cdn for the 753-1225 huayi looking one that sells in usa for 44.

And now ebay is showing the 753-1225 looking huayi to be just like a walbro wyl-19 ????? and from what i see the wt has flush mounting surface(gasket?) but wyl has raised port with oring.

I usually only see the rotaries on Echo and Stihl machines around here.

Yes the raise port would on the air cleaner side or at least how it been on the ones that I worked on.

Zama also has carburetors with the barrel style throttle (RB series). Both the Walbro and Zama versions of carbs operate basically same. Zama's tech guide has a little info on their rotary carburetor operation that might be of some help understanding these.

Now one the main differences in mounting the WT and WYL styles I found is in the throttle cable and it mounting. Most WTs uses Z bend on the end of the cable while the WY series and RB series uses a straight cable with a stop on the end.

As for fuel mixtures the rotary carburetor usually only have an idle mixture adjustment. I have seen only one or two that had a high speed adjustment. Most had a fixed high speed jet.

So I found out that she bought this trimmer at a special sale for just $40. So nothing really lost to throw it so I am going in. Maybe I can clean it up as per the video I found. Not sure if video was on a real walbro or a clone.
