Need replacement for Tecumseh HM100

Postby hovercop » Sun Feb 16, 2014 2:02 pm

I have a Yard Machine chipper/shredder with a 10HP Tecumseh HM100 159287P engine. Is there a replacement / substitute for this engine out there somewhere?

You need to carefully measure the crankshaft length, diameter, and taper if not a keyed design. Some chipper engines had odd ball pto's that are no longer available. You will also need to shim the engine, the crankshaft center line of new ohv's are about 1" lower than the old L- heads.
