Questions on Tecumseh "H" model engines

Did all Tecumseh L-Head "H" model engines have aluminum cylinder walls? (e.g., H30, H35, H50, H60, etc.) Were some of them made with a steel cylinder liners? Other than pulling the head and inspecting for the liner or using the magnet test, is there any way to tell from just the model # or other outward appearance of the engine to know if it is aluminum or steel cylinder?
Sidebar: I am aware that Tecumseh made the H50 "Motor Sports" racing engine with a steel liner for a short while to compete with the Briggs "Raptor" engine in kart racing.

The H models were aluminum bore - the HM models were aluminum block with steel/cast iron sleeve cylinder, the HH models were cast iron block

Sure, generally speaking, the motors using CAST IRON liners/bores are designated by the "XL" ( extra life) suffix, ie, HXL, HMXL, TVXL.
I'm not big on Tecumseh, but those are the ones that I've come across.
Does T-Man ever chime in here , he would prolly know more.

I hesitate to contradict some of the resident experts but the H50 and H60 were fitted to the UK built Atco cylinder (reel) mowers and I know that they had steel liners. Honed a few and definitely steel not ally.

STEEL liners ya say? STEEL ?? They very well may have had a CAST IRON bore, prolly not all had the XL suffix. Hence the reference to T-Man. But you may wanna re-think the STEEL part,no?
