looking for Husqvarna muffler

A friend has a 137 model chain saw using muffler 530071511-----> 545006044. Seems unavailable. Is this a real old saw?

found this one that is listed for a model 136. Quite different design but might work?

except now seeing for model 136 there is an insulator and plate shown with cylinder ipl that may not be available.

PN 545006044 is the bolt only. I don't know why the vendors are listing this as the muffler. It's not what Husqvarna has listed.

Actually if you look at the IPL the bolt is 530016044 which is not the same number that I gave for the muffler (both just end in 44). Partstree lists ipls for 11 model 137s and all show the muffler I quoted that looks like the muffler on the unit. As I said it shows the 530069415 on a model 136 but it needs additional insulator and shield not on the saw I have. place that has a 530069415 available gives the gasket number for it but does not seem to have the gasket.
also interesting is that your (Husqvarna's) ipl for 137 shows the plate 530037640 as part of the muffler. the partstree for 136 shows it as part of piston/cylinder. And the insulator 530037652 shown on cylinder of the partstree 136 does not exist on your 137 ipl at all.
No wonder I am confused.

Sorry for the miss on the bolt number, I several customers in here all at once and I had to close the post.

If you can give me the serial number I see what year the saw is and I might be able help you figure this out.

What I can't figure out is why a fairly current production muffler is no longer available. Must be a part number change that just hasn't made it out to parts folks yet. May need Husqvarna input on this item.

137 2004-10 uses the 545006044
just a few of the numbers and then there is the 137e models. It can be confusing to anyone. What I hoping for your saw is outside the overlaps

Even with year of manufacture it can be hard to know exactly which muffler is used. As you can see there is some overlap of years and versions.
As for being part of the muffler it is just in the muffler section the IPL diagrams.

Note that saw is in Canada. 137 e series. ser no 2007 2502074. I have some leads on suppliers of the 530069415 with gasket and plate also.
I have only been checking online as local dealer prices here in Canada are usually much higher. Might check with one local that a friend recommended.

Thanks that narrowed the field quite a bit.

It is 2007 model and the 137 e narrow it to three model IPL. Bad news though all three uses the same muffler and it is the 545006044 one.

Request for help with part number sent to Husqvarna. Will let you know when I get a reply what their answer is.

Too cold and wet today for me work outdoors.

Had some time to go over the different IPL comparing cylinders, top covers, and chassis assemblies. All the part numbers for these match each other.

The 530069415 muffler kit should work as long as you add the muffler heat shield (back plate) with gasket. The 545006044 had use much shorter mounting bolts.

I also found that the 545006044 is cat muffler and the 530069415 is not which will give you more power to work with.

Also here a thread from Arborsite on this mod on a 142 which is basically the same saw except has a little larger displacement.

miserable here. Had planned on going to Ottawa for breakfast but forecast had ice pellets and risk of freezing rain then snow. Just got rain and light snow. B-in-law called this am. they got 12 in. of snow overnight in Midland , Ontario.
Thanks for that link. I must ask what 'cat' means as I expect there is no platinum in that muffler.

Cat = Catalyst and yes they contain Platinum, Palladium, and Gold. Not enough really to make them worth a whole lot in scrap value, but it is there.
