JD 133 trans

got the trans axel out of a LT 133. it's a dana/spicer no spec. # on the trans like a peerless. tractor mod. mol133ao48423. I thought it was always moo in the number but this is what the customer gave me. it's a john deere. I have a feeling that you have to replace the trans as a complete unit. no parts available, is this true? it needs pawls and a couple gears. worked at a JD dealership and know they (john deere) own the engine and trans models they use.
