Vector Carburetor Needle and Float

I know stupid....and those are not a stupid questions! The answer is yes ....tank full and bowl well below bottom of tank. Even pushing down on bowl all the way failed to lift needle. Looked to me like too much space in needle clip or hanger. Too sloppy. Of course when I lifted needle manually with pick, the gasoline flowed.

Sounds like a case for OEM bowl kit, waddayathink? Sometimes, as BG mentioned , aftermarket parts don't work!
