If you're looking for the breaker points, you're looking in the wrong place.

Have yet to see a K series that did NOT have breaker points.

K161T simply means pull start 7 HP Kohler It will be magneto ignition with coil under the flywheel - Breaker points are on the side of the engine in a rectangular box underneath the governor arm next to the camshaft casting area part number 47-150-03, look for a condenser mounted nearby - follow any shut down wires, if equipped, or the breaker box has a push-button shot off switch.
I have yet to see a K series that had solid state, would love to see one, got any pics?

there is a condenser and the wires run behind coil under flywheel and the other goes to throttle cable. ill try to take you some pics and learn how to post them up for you to look at. yes it is pull start only. but after finding the t i thought i would post to be clear of the numbers the reat of them are unreadable. thanks i will try to get pics up so all can view.

Appears you need remove the crankshaft and washer. Service manual doesn't mention anything removing those outside bolts or screws. Basically from what gather is the same as removing a Briggs flywheel. You do need use a puller to remove it from the taper shaft.

I think this the flywheel you talking about>

As the other party's post, it is why I put him on my ignore list, just got tire of reading his posts.
