Looking for someone to rebuild my CCK Engine

Postby stevec77 » Mon May 19, 2014 11:43 am

I'm looking for someone to rebuild my propane fueled CCK engine. It ran low on oil and froze up. I live in Seatac Washington but can deliver the engine anywhere between here and Moses Lake, WA (where I will be working in June & July. Any advice or recommendations? FYI-Earl's Machine Shop in Burien, WA is too busy and can't turn it around until December. I was hoping to get it back sooner. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well if no one replies, maybe a private Message to bper can help - I do believe he is from Washington somewheres... (He used to run perr.com forum which we are a spin-off from) :)

You want a reputable shop that is familiar with Onan. It won't be cheap but quality work never is. The back yarder on cl is a huge risk, he will want parts money up front and may disappear before the job is done.

I am not sure of the name, but it sticks in my mind there was a place in Moses Lake that did Onan Repair. The best I can offer you is call Cummins NW (preferably in Yakima) and maybe they can give you a name of someone still doing Onan repair in the area. You can also check with Cummins NW in Renton, which is near you - bper :D

PS - The guy in Moses Lake may be retired now, like me.
