Postby Tinker » Tue May 27, 2014 4:31 pm

I have a kohler Mv20s spec # 57526
Can someone give me a replacement part number for the carb float needle the viton tip has blown up! and also the float bowl gasket number
If there is an economical kit with both those parts that would work to

thanks!!

Carter or Walbro carburetor? If you can find the Walbro model (WHG-xxx or similar) the letters would be cast into the carb showing the base model type, the numbers (specific model) will be stamped in the carburetor. - Those parts can be looked up (and often individually ordered) through Walbro.

If it is a Carter carburetor, kit number 25-757-01 is the only thing available - otherwise, only parts available is a new carburetor.

IPL shows the 52 853 29-S carburetor kit which is the Walbro adjustable jet version using carburetor kit repair kit 25 757 11-S. Kit contains needle, bowl gasket, and other gaskets..

It is a walbro the numbers on carb are
Kohler model mv20s
Spec 57526
Serial 2403914556

Carb numbers
52 053 55.
WHG 54 3423
Is needle and gasket avail separate or is the kit what I need to look for. Also any issues if I use a stems or Oregon kit I have an Oregon dealer near me.

Needle and bowl gasket are available as separate parts *from Walbro* - Can also cross reference them to Briggs and Tecumseh part numbers, or just grab yourself a Walbro K1-WHG and have done with it :)

Carburetor repair kit 25 757 11-S listed for the 52 053 55 Carburetor.

I didn't find any part numbers for needle valve listed on Kolher's site and Walbro website didn't list the WHG 54. Since your be going inside the carburetor if it was me I would just get a rebuild kit so the gaskets don't leak afterwards.

I haven't had any problems with Stens kits but I have had a few Oregon kits for engines. Most were for Briggs engines and I have quit trying to get an Oregon kits because of it.; maybe just me here as I am a little picky when I do rebuilds.
