Husqvarna 350 chain saw - pin dropped out??

I have a 350 Husqvarna chainsaw approx 12 years old and while I was running the saw a pin clicked a few times against the clutch and then fell out. It is approximately 1" long by 1/8" diamiter smooth with some groves in the middle to hold in place I guess. I have searched the saw and have no idea where it came from . Since, I have used the saw for 2 hours with no problem. Has anyone had a similar problem.

Where does the pin go - please help.

Sounds like you may have had a chain brake handle pin come out - Other possibility might be the oiler drive pin, but from what you describe, it sounds more like the pin that holds chain brake trip mechanism to the side cover.

Does it look like this?

If so it goes into the oil pump flow adjuster.

Yes, Where does it fit in I can find no opening of hole that it slides into on the oiler adjuster

Sorry - I thought that was the correct pin in the picture but when I looked further I noticed my pin is much larger attached in a pic.

Does anyone know where the pin in my picture is to be placed on my saw identifed above?

This same exact thing happened to me. I have my chainsaw torn apart and it's not readily apparent where this pin goes. If someone has knowledge where this pin goes that would be awesome, thanks.

Thank you - along with you and I there are a number of others who have lost this pin on google searches and no answers follow there qusetions as to where it belongs. I've torn mine apart as well - crazy.

I think its just an alignment pin, it fits in the lower/tank assy. Its just to the left and a tad lower of the shock mount.
