Which Flywheel Puller?

just helps out from getting seized on and not so big of a pain on the removal. plus sure does beat beating it with a hammer and a block of wood. understand if u have to do it that way if the puller doesnt work.but not the best way but taking a big chance on damaging something u dont own and have to end up spending your profit on getting it fixed is not too smart. i thought all this time that the flywheel was held on by a key way and a nut torqued to spec.

Looking at this another way........NOT Dear-to me has caused a lot of friction. Does mean that he is a NUT?

FYI: The "keyway" is the groove that a key fits in. It has nothing to do with holding anything on.

And the nut provides the friction.

Wrong again " teaspoon"..or is that tablespoon, I keep gettin' it mixed up! Oh, whats the difference...all it does is make noise anyway,right?
The nut provides the FORCE to increase the friction. The taper increases the surface area and thus the (available) friction.

Well he is actually right that the taper makes for a greater surface area, providing the friction - although it *is* a bit anal to go over the finer details (a Chicken Vs Egg thing) , but that particular nut generally does create a great deal of friction, so...
